Yes. You have the option of taking any or all of the Extra Credit Quizzes.

Yes. You will see the quiz title, Attempt, Written (date and time), Submission View, Attempt Score, and Overall Grade (first or second attempt).

No.

If you've just taken your quiz, you will have the option to "View Results." From this results page, you can review all quiz grades from the "Return to Scores" link. You can also click the Quizzes link from the homepage or side navigation, click the "View scores for quizzes" radio button and see all of your quiz scores. Finally, you can view all of your scores for the course from Grades.

Yes. You must click 'Submit Quiz' to receive credit.

Yes. It is recommended that you save your response as you complete each question. For each question, there is a "Save" button. Clicking the "Save" button saves your response to that question. You can save each question as many times as you wish. When you navigate to another page of the quiz by using the right and left arrows, all your questions on the current page will be saved. In this course, you will normally see about 10 questions per page.

You'll see the quiz Summary tab that includes the current time, your name, a Description of the quiz, and Quiz Specifics (Quiz Period, Time Allowed, Attempts: number Allowed and number Completed).
When you click the Submissions tab, you'll see your name, the number of attempts you've made on this quiz, and the Class Average.

When you click the Reports tab, you'll see "There are no reports available."

You will see the quiz title, Time Limit, Time Left, Quiz Info (includes your name, Attempt number, Questions - total questions on the quiz with check boxes of the questions you've answered, number of pages on the quiz and Legend), Page number, Question number, forward and backward arrows, Save All Responses, and Go To Submit Quiz. Remember you can also view a box, Quiz Status, lower left to see if your answer has been saved.

Locate what you believe to be the correct answer in the material. Cite that location and contact the instructor.

No. You have to take the Course Information Quiz first, but that's the only restriction. After that you may take the quizzes in any order.

Yes. You can answer questions in any order. Also, before submitting the quiz, you will have the opportunity to return to questions that you may have missed or simply did not answer.

No. The questions may be different. Additionally, the answer order may be different.

No, the final score will be the average of the two attempts.

On the Course Home page, you have an Updates box on the lower left. If there are quizzes available, you will see a (number) Quiz available link. Clicking this link will take you to Quizzing Home. On this page you will see linked quiz titles followed by when it is available.

Also you can click the Quizzes tab upper left scarlet navigation bar. This takes you to the Quizzes home page. Any available quizzes will be hyperlinked.

Time allowed varies, but you will find it listed on the Quizzes page (found though the Quizzes link) and it will also be listed in the quiz instructions before you begin an individual quiz.

For Certificate 1, there will be six REQUIRED Certificate Quizzes: one quiz for general Course Information and one each for the modules listed below:

I) Soils, II) Sands, III) Irrigation, IV) Drainage, and V) Field Renovation.

There are also five Extra Credit Quizzes that you have the OPTION of taking.

For Certificate 2, there will be 4 REQUIRED Certificate Quizzes: one quiz for general Course Information and one each for the modules listed below:

I) Turfgrasses for Athletic Fields, II) Principles of Turfgrass Establishment, and III) Turfgrass Establishment Methods.

There are also three Extra Credit Quizzes that you have the OPTION of taking.

For Certificate 3, there will be 4 REQUIRED Certificate Quizzes: one quiz for general Course Information and one each for the modules listed below:

I) Field Presentation: Logos & Lines, II) Field Presentation: Orientation & Mowing, and III) Turf Nutrition.

There are also two Extra Credit Quizzes that you have the OPTION of taking.

For Certificate 4, there will be 5 REQUIRED Certificate Quizzes: one quiz for general Course Information and one each for the modules listed below:

I) Integrated Pest Management (IPM), II) Sports Turf Weeds, III) Sports Turf Pests, and IV) Sports Turf Diseases.

There are also four Extra Credit Quizzes that you have the OPTION of taking.

For Certificate 5, there will be 5 REQUIRED Certificate Quizzes: one quiz for general Course Information and one each for the modules listed below:

I) Synthetic Turf: History & Uses, II) Infill Turf Charpet Characteristics, III) Synthetic Turf Construction, and IV) Synthetic Turf Maintenance.

There are also four Extra Credit Quizzes that you have the OPTION of taking.

The number of questions per quiz may vary, but it will be listed in the quiz instructions before you begin an individual quiz.

The points for each quiz varies; however, you will see the number of points a quiz is worth listed in the quiz instructions before you begin an individual quiz.

Extra credit quizzes are worth 3 points.

If you check Grades (upper left scarlet navigation bar), you can see the number of points possible for each quiz, as well as the number of points you've earned to date.

Most quizzes can be attempted two times, with the score average recorded.

Extra credit quizzes can only be attempted once.

Remember that quiz attempts are VARIABLE, but this information is available to you at the beginning of each quiz.

Quizzes are Always Available, but you must take the quiz on Course Information before you can take any of the others. This is to be sure you understand how the course is set up.

Click the forward arrow to move to the next question or page. Click the back arrow to move to the previous question/page.

To move to another question, you can also use the box on the left that indicates whether an answer has been saved or not. The question numbers are linked to the appropriate question. Simply selection the question you want.

You can also scroll up/down to questions that appear on the same page.

Both the module section and its quiz have the same title.

If a quiz is available, on the summary tab, on the first line you will see the time on the left and the link 'Start Quiz!' on the right.

After clicking the Submit Quiz button, you will see your Attempt, Written: (date & time), Submission View followed by:

Your quiz has been submitted successfully.

Section number and each question. Your results will include the question number, points received/points possible, question, possible responses, and Comment.

You can view a box, Quiz Status, lower left. If your answer has been saved, you will see Page (number) Saved.

Also, you will see a Quiz Info box with icons for each question on the left side of your screen. When an answer has been saved, the icon will appear bold. When it is not saved, it appears shadowed or gray. Refer to the Legend in the Quiz Info box for a graphic representation.

The number of attempts available and the number of attempts made is listed on the Quizzes page (found though the Quizzes link).

First, click the Quizzes link in the upper left red navigation bar. This takes you to Quizzing Home. There you will see a list of quizzes. Click the title of the quiz you wish to take. If a quiz is available, on the summary tab, on the first line you will see the time on the left and the link 'Start Quiz!' on the right.

Yes. You will be able to view your grade as soon as you've submitted your quiz.

You can click on a question and choose a response, but the answer will not be saved. You will see the Warning: "The time limit for this Quiz has been exceeded."

To view the summary results of a quiz, click on the Completed hyperlink under Attempts.

Quiz attempts that exceed the time limit will be automatically submitted, including any answers you've saved. You can make an additional attempt, if you have one available.

Yes. You can make up to 2 attempts on most quizzes, but the number of attempts is VARIABLE. Remember that when you make more than 1 attempt, your grade will be the average of the attempts.

Information regarding the number of attempts on a given quiz will be given at the beginning of each quiz.

Please note that extra credit quizzes are only available for 1 attempt each.

Once the allocated time period that was set for this quiz expires, you are required to SUBMIT your quiz responses. NOTE: Any responses that you have not saved before the time limit expires will not be submitted.
